The 10 Steps to Building a Better Web Site

1. Avoid gratuitous movement for no reason.

2. Navigation is the most important factor.

3. Good information is more important than flash nonsense.

4. Size all graphics with only enough resolution to read well and not slow down uploads.

5. Make sure your Webmaster understands the proper programming techniques to be noticed by the most important search engine: Google.

6. If a page takes more than 5 seconds to load, reduce the size and make it load faster.

7. Make sure your contact page is equipped with an auto responder.

8. Avoid the “Skip Intro” trap. If it isn’t worth watching, eliminate it.

9. Remember, color is free.

10. Hire a professional. Yes, your nephew’s friend can design a web; but does he have a clue about your business and how the homebuyer behaves online.
